Location

The beach of Chrysi Akti owes its name to its true golden sand.

It is the attraction of thousands of visitors each year who visit it to swim in the clear waters that are not affected by the weather conditions (especially in August).

It is well organized with sun loungers, umbrellas and changing rooms, and there is also a lifeguard.

It is considered an ideal beach for families with children due to its fine sand and shallow water and is awarded the Blue Flag.

The whole area, up to the Agii Apostoli, is full of pine and eucalyptus and is an ideal area for a morning walk or jogging.

There is regular bus service to / from the city of Chania.

Agii Apostoli is a few meters west of Chrysi Akti beach.

It has been named like this due to the homonymous temple located on a small hill from where everyone can gaze at an incredible view of the two twin beaches of the area.

It is one of the most popular areas of Chania dominated by three picturesque bays with their beautiful sandy beaches, which are awarded the Blue Flag. The area is considered to be of rare natural beauty and ideal for swimming and playing and has a small beautiful forest ideal for relaxation, running and picnic.

On the beaches of Agii Apostoli there are the necessary facilities for water sports, beach volley, while the beaches also have facilities for people with disabilities. In Agioi Apostoloi the visitor can also find many taverns and restaurants, Café-bar, super-market, various tourist shops, and a pharmacy.
